Unconventional Materials Sculpture Session #1 - Teen 13-18
Join local artist and teacher Annie Gillaume-Gantz and organically create one-of-a-kind sculptures using found and recycled materials! Students will learn to build, assemble, and decorate sculptural forms using everything from cardboard, tape, paper, foam, plastic and fabric. Each class focuses on hands-on making and creative risk-taking — no experience required.
Participants are welcome to bring their own materials to work with (washed and dried items only, please — no food), but the studio will be stocked with a treasure trove of oddball supplies to pull from.
Schedule:
Week 1 (August 13) – Build sculptural forms
Week 2 (August 20) – Finalize and prime structures
Week 3 (August 27) – Paint and decorate sculptures (pick-up later if needed)
